In 2023 Ecozema Srl acquired the majority of Minimo Impatto Srl, a distribution company of eco-sustainable products, an Italian leader in online sales.

Ecozema srl ​​benefit company
FSC® (FSC®-C169099) and PEFC certifications

Change of company name, from Fabbrica Pinze Schio (historical name) to Ecozema Srl benefit company, i.e. it has integrated into its corporate purpose, in addition to profit objectives, the aim of having a positive impact on society and the biosphere. Since 2021 we have become a Benefit Company and in the same year we obtained certification for the FSC® (FSC®-C169099) and PEFC chains of custody in the wood products supply chain.

2015

Renewal of the press fleet

Between 2015 and 2023 the press fleet was completely renovated and the production area completely redone to concentrate on the molding of biopolymers for products intended for food contact. In particular, between 2021 and 2023 the company tripled its production capacity.

2010

Birth of Re-Zema
ISO9001-ISO14001-ISO22000 certifications

In 2010, the Re-Zema products were born, made entirely with post-consumer recycled plastics and with numerous other contents of environmental and social value. In accordance with our mission over the years we have numerous certifications, starting from ISO9001 for the quality management system and ISO14001 for the environmental management system and ISO22000 for the production of products intended for food contact.

Birth of Ecozema

After 5 years of experimentation, in 2005 we finally created Ecozema, compostable disposable catering products made with biopolymers or vegetable fibres. Ecozema cutlery was the first in the world to obtain OK-Compost certification according to the EN13432 standard.

Birth Garden Zema

In 2000 we started experimenting with compostable biopolymers, such as Novamont’s Mater-Bi and began working with recycled plastics.
The first result was the birth of Garden Zema, a line produced with recycled plastics, characterized by highly innovative contents and which aims to combine the aesthetics of wrought iron with the advantages of thermoplastic resins.

Product catalog expansion

Over the years we have continued to expand the Zema line, creating articles that in some cases have made history such as the Super Pierino, Lola, Kaimano and introducing numerous other types of products in addition to clothes pegs.

Birth of Zema

The Zema brand was born in the 1970s and is the acronym of the initials of the then partners Zuliani Enrico and Munarini Antonio. The third generation of the Munarini family still holds managerial roles in the company.

Automation of the production process

At the same time we began to automate the production process, often with machines designed and built in-house. It was in those years that the factory changed radically, taking on the structure of a modern industry.

Molding of plastic clothespins

During the 1950s we began to combine woodworking machinery with the first presses for thermoplastic molding and we were among the first in the world to create a plastic clothes peg.

1941

Company name registration

This is where our name comes from and the current company name registered in 1941. We soon moved on to producing wooden laundry clips for domestic use.

1900

Company foundation

For almost a century we have been producing and distributing quality products for the home. In the first years after the foundation, at the beginning of the 20th century, we produced large wooden tongs for the tanning industry, which was very developed in the area.
