Plate and tray production

This is the latest processing technology introduced in our company. This process allows for the creation of paperboard containers that are perfectly leak-proof and grease-resistant, as they are formed without any gluing or joints. Starting from a reel (with or without coating), the fibers undergo an initial stretching phase before moving to die-cutting. The resulting blank is then placed into a forming mould where, through pressure and temperature, the paperboard is shaped into the desired geometry. This technology is used to produce deli trays and the Charta line of plates.
Pros:
High productivity, good dimensional accuracy, perfectly leak-proof for liquids and fats, possibility of custom printing.
Cons:
A specific mould is required for each size, special paperboards are necessary, paperboard folds cannot be eliminated in the creasing areas.
