Cutlery production

Through this process, it is possible to transform biopolymers such as Mater-Bi® and P.L.A. into complex-shaped products with a minimum thickness of just under 1mm. The biopolymer is first melted and then injected into a mould. Once the material has cooled, the mould can be opened to extract the piece, which generally requires no further processing. This is the technology used in our cutlery production.
Pros:
High dimensional precision, ability to create complex-shaped parts, good productivity.
Cons:
High initial investment cost (mould), inability to process biopolymers with very low thickness. This technology is used to manufacture Ecozema® cutlery.
